SOME PEOPLE SAY THE NICEST THINGS . . .
Kate Lippa,
Executive Director at
The Fair Pay Project
Andrew . . .
1. is patient. A client may have a firm idea of what he/she wants or have just the seedlings of greatness in mind. Either way, it’s important to take time so that the client can see their vision unfold and doesn’t get overwhelmed by the process. By being patient, Andrew guides the client to an extraordinary outcome.
2. is a good listener. Listening isn’t just for relationships anymore. It’s also for hearing what a client wants (and doesn’t want).
3. is honest. Let’s face it. Some marketing ideas just aren’t going to work (think New Coke and the Ford Edsel). Andrew will tell you if he thinks a campaign idea may result in some unfortunate reactions.
4. has a sense of humor. Not only does this mean he can come up with some very entertaining concepts, it’s also a huge bonus during the work-process.
5. is an artist. Andrew doesn’t just create marketing pieces. He creates art.
6. is a talented writer. The first element of any advertisement or marketing piece that draws attention is of course the visual. But then what? Extraordinary copy will stick in one’s mind like a good song. That’s the kind of copy Andrew writes.
7. is experienced. Andrew has worked for small start-ups and large, multi-million dollar organizations during the course of his career.
8. is confident. Andrew has gained this confidence through years of success. He knows what works, and he is secure in his knowledge and understanding.
9. is the last line of defense. Time and time again, when others couldn’t figure out where to take a job or how to find the right balance between design and copy, Andrew has done it. He has the savvy and ability to produce the work when no one else can.
10. is a nice guy. Who wants to work with a jerk? Well, Andrew Tavoni is not only not a jerk, but he’s one of the nicest guys you’ll meet, proving once and for all that nice guys can finish first.

I can't recommend Andrew Tavoni enough! I have been in the unique position of having worked as Andrew's manager as well as being a service provider to him. Whether working for me, or me for him, he was always creative, thorough and proactive. He thinks outside the box to make every piece unique and interesting, and considers ancillary materials that could be (if not initially) requested. Not only is he a talented designer and an effective art director, Andrew is also very easy to work with. At Adlink, his impact was felt by the entire team; he brought a great energy to the department and was well-liked by everyone. Any company would benefit from adding him to their team.

Having Andrew as a teammate was a joy. Reliable, thoughtful, incredibly hard working and intelligent, he brought so much to the table. It’s hard to believe he started the job with almost no retail experience. Andrew jumped right in and quickly became an expert on product knowledge, customer service and sales. He was an invaluable asset to our team and clientele and any employer would be lucky to have him on board. You truly couldn’t ask for a better addition to the workplace.

I truly cannot rave enough about Andrew Tavoni. His professionalism, creativity and ability to work under pressure are unprecedented. I worked closely with Andrew at the LAGLC where he created all of my sponsorship kits, even when I brought them to him last minute. Andrew is always personable, and has literally created miracles from the content (or lack thereof) I've brought to him. In addition to my sponsorship kits, he handled all of the Center's graphic design needs and did a great job!

It has been my pleasure to work with him during his almost five years at the Center, and therefore, I would highly recommend Andrew!

Andrew Tavoni has the rare gift in that he has the ability to produce work successfully from both the creative and a marketing perspective. His graphics are always visually stunning and always merit multiple looks. He also integrates all the messaging points on many different levels of his work. Andrew is a master!
