You've decided to hire me. What's next?

1) Fill out the online questionnaire here. The questions are meant to help you clarify your vision for the look, feel, function, etc. Your answers will help me design a site YOU WILL LOVE. 

2) Send me the content that I'll need to build the site, this may include:

  • links to your drama and comedy reels plus any other clips to use
  • links to your Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn accounts
  • links to your online profiles such as: Actors Access, Now Casting, LA Casting, The Casting Frontier
  • your current head shot and any other head shots/photos you want to use
  • text for pages such as biography, blog, etc.
  • text for your resume (if you want me to create it) or a Word/PDF file of your up-to-date, final resume
  • telephone number and email address

3) Sign-up for a FREE Weebly.com account using your email address. The email address should be the one you use for your acting business. I'll build the site directly in your own Weebly.com account so you'll own it and always have access to it.    

4) I create two design options based on the information you provide me. We'll discuss which option you like best and nail down the design direction before moving forward. We'll establish a production schedule that works for both of us.

 

ABOUT RESUMES

If you're providing me with a completed resume, I'll need it as either a PDF or a Word doc.  I'll insert it into your site just as you send it to me. I won't be able to make changes, so please make sure it's final and you're completely happy with it.

If you want me to layout your resume, please provide me with the most current and final content. I will create the first proof and then after that you'll have 3 opportunities to make revisions. After your third revision, I'll need to charge an additional $25.00 per revision. I do this to discourage constant revisions which takes up too much of my time. My goal is to keep prices affordable for actors, constant revisions sabotage my ability to do this.

 

FEES AND PAYMENT

For a limited time, I'm offering my services for an introductory rate of $300 per site.

Please note. the above rate does not include the cost of upgrading your account on Weebly.com, purchasing your domain or any other expenses related to your site for which I am not responsible. You will be responsible for paying these fees directly to the appropriate vendor.

HOW I BUILD YOUR SITE

I'll build you a highly functional and beautiful site using a powerful online platform called Weebly.com.

The basic tools to build a site in Weebly are FREE but there are limitations, the main one being that you can't use a custom domain name. With the free version you'll have a sub-domain from Weebly that will look like this: yourname.weebly.com. 

In order to use your own domain name (yourname.com), I'll walk you through how to upgrade from the free site to either the "Starter" or "Pro" plan. I recommend the "Pro" plan as it offer a variety of features and is extremely affordable -- see pricing below. You pay the upgrade fee directly to Weebly.com.

 

YOUR DOMAIN NAME

If you've already purchased your domain name, we will transfer it to your site after you've upgraded your Weebly account to either the Pro or Starter level. To make the transfer, I'll need the name of the company from which you purchased your domain. 

If you don't currently have a domain, you have some options for purchasing. You can purchase it directly through Weebly. This is the most convenient way but it's not the most economical. I recommend you purchase your domain from a third party, such as Namesilo or Namecheap. These sites offer domains ranging in price from $3.98/yr to $8.99/yr. After you've purchased your domain, we'll transfer it to your Weebly site.
